"Wuthering Heights" Review

Emily Bronte was born in 1818 and deceased in 1848, she was the fifth out of six children. When her parents died she and her sister Charlotte went to a private college in Brussels. When her aunt died she returned to London to take care of the family home. She and her two sisters decided to write novels, which are now considered literary classics.Emily Bronte published Wuthering Heights in 1846.She never got married.
Wuthering Heights is a book about love, jealousy and revenge. The main Character is Nelly, a maid Servant that tells the story of Catherine Earnshaw and Mr.Heathcliff; to a man that just moved to the property that is near Wuthering Heights. The man that the story is being told to is Mr.Lockwood, he expresses an interest in Mr.Heathcliff because he cant comprehend why he is so bad tempered, and he wants to find out who Catherine Earnshaw is and why she is so significant to Mr.Heathcliff. Catherine lived in Wuthering Heights since she was a child. One day her father Mr.Earnshaw brought back with him an orphan who went by the name Heathcliff, some of the members of Mr.Earnshaws family weren't so fond of Heathcliff but young Catherine was.As the story continues Catherine and Heathcliff are very fond of each other, and as they grow older Heathcliff s life doesn't get any better, he decides to run away. When he returns to Wuthering Heights he is a wealthy man looking for revenge against those who did him wrong in the past. His relationship with Catherine deteriorates because they are both so stubborn and from them love , jealousy and revenge unfolds as the story continues.
I recommend this book to those who enjoy dark and romantic books with a twist. The only struggle i had with this book was the fact that the language is in old english which makes it hard to understand sometimes, but besides that the book doesn't disappoint it keeps you wanting to read more.
