Review of "The Fault In Our Stars"

John lives with his wife and son in Indianapolis, Indiana. John has been a finalist for the LA Times Book Price. He is also a New York Times bestselling author and has written many other novels like Printz Medal and A Printz Honor. John has also won the Edgar Award, has a YouTube channel under the name of "vlogbrothers" and 1.1 million followers on Twitter.
Hazel Grace, the main character, is a very intellectual, quirky, and antisocial sixteen year old. Hazel is like any other teenager except she has a tumor on her lung and her life depends on the oxygen tank she wheels around. She dedicates most of her time to books and books therefore she doesn't have many friends that’s why her mom forced her to go to a group called “Cancer Kid Support Group” where teenagers that have or had cancer go to. At the fourth meeting or so Hazel meets this guy named Augustus through her friend named Isaac.  Augustus had cancer on his leg and had to be amputated previously but had been under remission for over a year. Hazel and Augustus immediately connected. They’re both smarter than the average teenager and very interested in books. Hazel introduces Augustus to a novel called “An Imperial Affliction” that only brings them closer. This novel is about a girl, which like them has cancer. The ending to this novel seems to be missing so they decide to get in contact with the author, Peter Van Houten and end up going on a trip together to Amsterdam.
I recommend this novel to anyone that can enjoy a romantic quirky novel with a twist. My only concern about this novel is a bit of language, overall I truly recommend this novel to anyone. The Fault In Our Stars is the type of book that will make you cry and laugh all in the matter of one page.
